At WiseGuys' Character Quest, kids will learn about God's Son Jesus and how much He loves us!
Each lesson reinforces how having godly character modeled after Jesus' example can help us to make good choices. The kids will learn about the godly characteristic gratefulness and how God can help us be grateful.

Character Building Stories
Kids learn what gratefulness is and what it looks like in action. They'll learn a Bible verse about gratefulness and how we can be grateful to God for all the good things He has done.
Interactive Songs
Come along and learn fun songs that help kids connect with the lesson on gratefulness and remember it long after they've left Character Quest.
Puppet Skits
A favorite every year, the puppet skit tells the tale of Tommy and his friends as they learn about godly character like gratefulness. Each skit captivates the kids attention while teaching them how to show gratefulness in everyday life.
Exciting Games
Get up and get moving! Kids need to burn energy and what better way than group games! Every child is encouraged to participate in exciting games that get them moving and working together.
Face Painting
Face painting is a favorite for all the kids! While the kids get their face painted the ladies will tell them a story from the wordless book about how much Jesus loves every person.
All-Beef Hotdogs
After the Bible lessons and games, kids can enjoy an all beef hotdog and get a goodie bag of prizes and a booklet about our character trait gratefulness. Adults are welcome to enjoy a hotdog while the kids are playing games.
Balloon Animals
Fun for all ages, get a balloon animal, sword or hat to take home!
Your Child's Safety is our Priority
Safe and Visible Workers
Every Character Quest worker must pass a background check before they are able to work with children. Background checks are updated regularly to ensure your child's safety.
To ensure you and your children can easily identify the Character Quest Workers, each worker has an official blue Character Quest t-shirt and 2024 ID lanyard.
Child Check-In
Before a child can participate in Character Quest, we require their parent/guardian to come to the registration table to check in.
Each child gets a name tag so staff can be sure every child participating has their parent's or guardian's permission to join in the fun.
We make every effort to keep your children safe including diligently noting any food allergies and indicating these on the child's name tag for their safety during snack time.
Parents are Welcome
We know it can feel weird leaving your kid with people in the park that's why we have created the parent area. Parents can enjoy break while we tend to your kids. Hotdogs are ready for the adults after the Character Building Story while the kids are playing games. Have a hotdog and bottled water on us and enjoy a 5 minute parent seminar to help you with the challenges of parenting.
Meet other parents and Plains Baptist Church's Children's staff while your kids enjoy a safe and fun evening in the park.
5 Minute Parent Seminar
Nightly at 7:45pm
Raising kids can be hard! We know the challenges: we've been there too and we want to help you be successful!
Whether you are married, single, a blended family, raising grandkids, have lots of support or are doing this on your own, every person raising kids needs a little help at some point.
We want to support you through practical tips and advice, and an ear to listen, so you can successfully overcome the challenges that come with parenting the next generation.
After Character Quest in the park ends, join us back at the church each Wednesday during the school year to learn more godly character traits!
