Does it matter which version of the Bible you read?

As Christians we want to be sure we have an accurate and complete Bible from which we can know who God is and what His purpose is for our lives and for all of mankind. This conference will give you the tools and information needed to be sure you have the complete and accurate Word of God in your hands.

Dr. David Sorenson, author and authority on Biblical textual issues, will take an in-depth look at the answer to this question by examining a multitude of historical sources, textual evidence, and translational evidence. Although this topic is scholarly by nature, Dr Sorenson presents it in such a way it can be understood by just about anyone. We’ll trace the origins of the Bible manuscripts, examine the backgrounds and qualifications of the English language translators, and look into the historical events leading up to the translations; all with the goal of answering the question "does it matter which version of the Bible you read".

If you are unable to attend in person, we will have the conference on Zoom also. Join us in person or online to learn about the significance of the Bible translations and how to be sure you have the complete and accurate Word of God.

Dr. David Sorenson, Guest Speaker

Dr. Pierre Coovert Solid Foundation MinistriesDavid H. Sorenson, B.A., M. Div., D. Min. is a third-generation fundamental Baptist preacher, pastor, church planter, soul winner, church builder, and a widely-read author whose writing style is eminently readable.

Dr. David Sorenson was once an adherent to the modern critical text and encouraged use of the New American Standard Bible.  However, in around 1982 a pastor friend gave him a copy of a book entitled Which Bible? by Dr. David Otis Fuller.  Sorenson’s eyes were opened to the apostasy and corruption associated with the modern critical text which is the foundation for virtually all modern Bibles.

In the following years, he became knowledgeable on the subject, writing numerous books on the issue: Touch Not the Unclean ThingGod’s Perfect Book, Neither Oldest Nor Best,  and The Faithful Word: The Making of the King James Bible.

Dr. Sorenson is a regular speaker at Bible conferences around the country where he presents his research and insights into the various Bible translations origin.

If you'd like to get a head start on the conference topics, you can visit Northstar Ministries to purchase Dr. Sorenson's books about the Bible translations.

Because this is such an important topic, this conference is being offered at no cost to the public.

In the Garden of Eden, Satan launched the first attack on the Word of God when he asked Eve, "Yea, hath God said?" His tactic hasn't changed since. Satan has sown seeds of confusion amongst Christians regarding the truth and reliability of the Bible in it's English translation essentially asking again, "Yea, hath God said?".

For the growing Christian, there are important questions that need answers such as:
1. Do you know the foundation of the Bible you are reading?
2. Do you know the background of the translators of the text your Bible is based on?
3. What method of translation is more accurate: formal equivalency (literal) or dynamic equivalency (concepts)?4. Why does all this matter?

The answers to these questions might surprise you. We invite you to attend The Manuscripts Behind the Translations Bible Conference where you can discover the answers to these questions and more.
